Meet the KIBC Staff

Dr. Harry L. Lucenay, Pastor

Dr. Harry Lucenay is a graduate of Baylor University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has pastored churches in Texas and Mississippi in the United States and came to serve as senior pastor of Kowloon International Baptist Church, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong in March of 2003. He has written one book, Families Planning Bible Study and Worship. He has written Sunday School lessons for the Baptist Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Pastor Lucenay and his wife, Nancy, have spoken across the United States in Marriage Enrichment Conferences. They have three adult children, Jonathan, Elise, and Charles.

 

 

 

Ms. Angie French, Minister of Music

Angie French assumed the staff position of Minister of Music at Kowloon International Baptist Church in August 2005. Her responsibilities at KIBC include worship planning and leadership for all three Sunday services, as well as directing the KIBC Adult Choir, Ladies' Choir, Praise Teams, Handbell Ensemble, and Children's Choirs. Angie grew up in Marble Falls, Texas, and began to develop an interest in music and overseas ministry from a young age. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, as well as a Master of Music degree in Church Music from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary.

 

 

 

Dr. Phillip N. Bennett, Minister of Education

Dr. Phil Bennett is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Phil and his wife, Irene, moved to Hong Kong in May of 2006. Phil served in several positions at the Baptist Sunday School Board, now LifeWay Christian Resources. Both served as ministers of education in several churches: Phil in Alabama, Kentucky, Florida, and Georgia and Irene in Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia. Together and individually they have written articles, curriculum and contributed to books for children, youth, and adults. They have one adult daughter, Malissa. And, they have always had a love of people from varied backgrounds.
